UK the main focus for data announcements

August 10, 2017

Plenty of information being released throughout the day which will keep markets and traders busy. The main interest will be centred around the UK.

The UK will be publishing a few pieces of data that is significant to the economic outlook of the country. This list of data is headlined by the Manufacturing Production figure. This figure is significant because the manufacturing sector makes up such a large part (around 80%) of total industrial production output. Manufacturing is vital to the economy, particularly in the Brexit-era of economic uncertainty for the UK. Other figures set for release from the UK include: Goods Trade Balance, Construction Output, Industrial Production and NIESR GDP Estimate.

Elsewhere around the world, there is still plenty of information for traders to digest. This includes: US PPI & Core PPI, Unemployment Claims, Federal Budget Balance and Natural Gas Storage, Italian Trade Balance, French Industrial Production and Japanese Tertiary Industry Activity. Finally, Fed Reserve Member, William Dudley, will speak in the early hours of tomorrow morning, while there will be a bank holiday in Japan tomorrow.
