Draghi to speak early tomorrow morning, quiet day for announcements

A quiet day of announcements sees the testimony by ECB President, Mario Draghi, come into focus.

Draghi is set to deliver his testimony about the ECB’s annual report to the European Parliament in the early hours of tomorrow morning. This will be keenly watched as he will be asked a vast amount of questions about the European economy. This will likely include the health of the current economy, the performance of monetary stimulus measures rolled out by the ECB and the direction and make up of monetary stimulus measures taken by the ECB into the future.

As far as announcements go, Japan is releasing its All Industries Activity Index, Canada is releasing Wholesale Sales data, Spain is releasing Trade Balance figures, Greece is releasing Current account data, while both China and Australia are releasing their respective CB (Conference Board) Leading Indexes.
