Quiet start to an otherwise busy week ahead for markets

A quiet day ahead for markets with all but one of today’s figures already released. The only piece of information left for today is the European Industrial Production figure.

Tuesday – RBA (Reserve Bank of Australia) Monetary Policy Meeting Minutes, German Prelim GDP, UK CPI, US Retail & Core Retail Sales. French & Italian bank holidays.

Wednesday – European Flash GDP, UK Average Earnings Index, Claimant Count Change and Unemployment Rate, US Building Permits and Housing Starts

Thursday – US Crude Oil Inventories, FOMC Minutes and Unemployment Claims, Australian Employment Change and Unemployment Rate, UK Retail Sales.

Friday – German PPI, European Current Account, Prelim UoM (University of Michigan) Consumer Sentiment & Inflation Expectations. Meanwhile, FOMC Member, Robert Kaplan, is due to speak.
