Markets again look to speeches among data announcements

A busier day for markets with a number of significant central bank figures once again speaking in amongst data set for release throughout the day.

The central bank figures that are set to speak include: ECB President Mario Draghi, BoE Governor Mark Carney and BoJ Governor Haruhiko Kuroda. As with all central bank speakers, these speaking engagements are significant because these people are in charge of monetary policy for their respective countries. What they say can have an affect on markets and can cause market movements.

As for announcements, there is plenty of information set for publication. This includes:

Europe – German Import Prices, Swiss UBS Consumption Indicator & Credit Suisse Economic Expectations, Italian Prelim CPI, European M3 Money Supply & Private Loans.

US – Goods Trade Balance, Prelim Wholesale Inventories, Pending Home Sales and Crude Oil Inventories.

UK – Nationwide HPI

Finally, Italy has a bank holiday tomorrow, however not all banks observe this holiday. It may be prudent for traders to check to see if they are affected.
