A look at the week ahead

As today is relatively quiet as far as announcements are concerned, it gives us a chance to take o look at the week ahead and pinpoint the most important data and events occurring.

Monday – US Durable & Core Durable Goods Orders

Tuesday – UK Bank of England Financial Stability Report. BoE Governor Mark Carney & ECB President Mario Draghi are due to speak.

Wednesday – US Conference Board Consumer Confidence and Italian CPI. Meanwhile, a host of important figures are due to speak throughout the day. These speakers include: US Fed Reserve Chair, Janet Yellen, Fed Members Patrick Harker & Neel Kashkari, ECB President Mario Draghi, BoE Gov Mark Carney and Bank of Japan Gov Haruhiko Kuroda.

Thursday – US Final GDP, Pending Home Sales & Crude Oil Inventories, German Prelim CPI & Spanish Flash CPI and Net Lending to Individuals data from the UK.

Friday – National Core CPI from Japan, Manufacturing & Non-Manufacturing PMI’s from China, German Retail Sales, European CPI & Core CPI Flash Estimate, UK Current Account & Final GDP. Finally, the US are releasing Core PCE Price Index, Personal Spending, Chicago PMI and Revised UoM Consumer Sentiment
