Attention turns to Europe for data announcements

A busier day ahead for markets, with a host of data coming out of Europe.

Later tonight, Europe is publishing a swathe of data that is significant to the European economy. This data includes: Swiss Trade Balance, German Final GDP, European, German & French Flash Services PMI’s, European, German & French Flash Services PMI’s and German Ifo Business Climate. As Europe’s largest economy, Germany’s GDP figure will be watched with interest. This is because Germany is seen as the country that will lead the economic recovery for all of Europe. The PMI figures are significant as they reflect the strength of the Services & Manufacturing sectors, both of which are vital to not only Europe, but the individual countries within it.

Elsewhere around the globe, there is also a lot of figures that are set for publication. This includes: Japanese All Industries Activity, UK Public Sector Net Borrowing, Inflation Report Hearings and CBI Realised Sales, Canadian Wholesale Sales and finally, the US is reporting Flash Services/Manufacturing PMI’s, New Home Sales and Richmond Manufacturing Index. Meanwhile, Fed Reserve Members, Neel Kashkari and Patrick Harker are due to speak.
